EFI Mourns Victims of Delhi Explosion and Prays for Peace

FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE
Date: November 10, 2025
The Evangelical Fellowship of India (EFI) expresses deep sorrow and concern over the tragic explosion near the Red Fort in Delhi this evening, which has claimed at least eight lives and injured many others.
We grieve this heartbreaking loss of life and extend our heartfelt condolences to the families of those who have lost loved ones. We hold them in prayer, asking the God of all comfort to grant them strength and peace in this time of anguish.
We strongly condemn this tragic act that has caused such loss and fear in our national capital. Violence that takes innocent lives has no place in our society. We pray that truth will come to light swiftly and that justice will be done.
We also remember in prayer those who are injured and receiving treatment, that they may recover swiftly and fully.
EFI expresses its appreciation for the swift response of first responders, medical staff, and law enforcement agencies who have worked courageously to rescue the injured and secure the area. Their service in a moment of chaos and danger is commendable.
In this hour of grief, we urge all communities to remain calm, maintain peace, and resist every attempt to spread fear, hatred, or division. Let us, as people of faith, stand together for healing, solidarity, and reconciliation.
We call upon our member churches and Christian institutions across the nation to join in prayer for those affected, for the authorities as they investigate the incident, and for peace to prevail in our capital and throughout our land.
May the Lord bring comfort to the grieving, healing to the wounded, and peace to our nation.
