Lent Devotional – Day 35
We were created to live forever
Yet, God has made everything beautiful for its own time.
He has planted eternity in the human heart, but even so, people cannot see the whole scope of God’s work from beginning to end. (Ecclesiastes 3:11)
You will spend more time on the other side of death in eternity than you will here, so prepare yourself. We are only staging different roles, altering relationships and passing through an exciting time on earth that God has immensely blessed us with. But, God has also made us for a purpose. God put Adam and Eve in the Garden of Eden and provided them with the basic means to live a healthy life and blessed them with surplus. God had made us in his own image (you were made by God and for God) and placed us here on earth, He meets all our needs. But, God also expects us to obey and follow his instructions just the way he expected from Adam and Eve, their wrong choices led to consequences, and so will ours.
The bible says, “Everything is permissible”- but not everything is beneficial. “Everything is permissible” – but not everything is constructive. (1 Corinthians 10:23)
Today, work on your relationship with God.
Allocate your time and use your resources by identifying and following what the word of God says.
God is not just the starting point of your life; he is the source of it.
